Growing Together New Sims 4 Expansion Pack

There is a new expansion pack in town and low and behold it is, you guessed it, Generations. Well the Sims 4 team is calling it Growing Together, and now it makes you question what the heck is the purpose of the Parenthood game pack now that they have finally released generations.

You gotta hand it to EA though. The grift is real. They took the Generations EP in The Sims 3 and split it into six, yes 6, you heard me, six different packs. As they say, don't hate the player hate the game.

  1. Parenthood Game Pack
  2. Kids Stuff Pack
  3. Toddler Stuff Pack
  4. Backyard Stuff Pack
  5. Highschool Years Expansion Pack
  6. My Wedding Stories Game Pack
  7. Growing Together Expansion Pack
In the Sims 3 Generations cost $40. But in the Sims 4 it will cost you $150 since an EP cost $40, GP cost $20 and a SP cost $10. That's a whopping $110 more than you would've spent in the sims 3 - don't hate the player, hate the game, because EA has taken grift to a whole 'nother level.

But don't take my word for it, watch this review by LGR of TS3 Generations EP and you'll see that actions and build items included in Generations are splattered across the six packs I listed above, along some build items not included those packs. And of course those six items introduce some new things, but not enough to garner the extra $110 you will have to pay to get that same experience in TS4.

Growing Together 1st Impressions

All of these impressions are based on the trailer. The gameplay trailer and game changers playthrough videos haven't been released yet. I'm surmising by pouring over the images in the trailer, yet petering my expectations, because it is still after all the Sims 4. I did do a thread on twitter if you'll like to engage with my tweets.

Infants are quite interactive. When Parenthood was released it changed the behavior of toddlers, children and teens in the game, so I am wondering what impact the new Growing Together pack will have on Infants and the rest of the life stages. I recommend waiting sometime to play through with infants before purchasing the pack so that you can gauge their behavior with base game and any packs you own and then compare it with how sims of all age groups behavior changes when you get the pack.
Is this a Cookout Event?
